The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Olabode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the importance of collaboration among security agencies during a courtesy visit to the Federal Road Safety Corps Ogun Sector Command in Abeokuta.
The police commissioner visited the command on May 13, 2026, where he was received by the Sector Commander, Oludare Ogunjobi, alongside other senior officers of the command.
The visit began with an official reception and the recitation of the National Anthem.
Speaking during the visit, CP Ojajuni commended the FRSC for its efforts in ensuring safer highways across Ogun State. He also advised personnel of the corps to always prioritize tactical safety measures while carrying out field operations.
In his remarks, CC Ogunjobi appreciated the Nigeria Police Force for its prompt response to emergency situations and operational support provided to the FRSC.
The FRSC Sector Commander also appealed for continued police reinforcement during special patrol operations, especially in high-risk areas.
He further raised concerns over delays in the prosecution of suspects linked to the recent assault on FRSC operatives in Ijebu Ode and called for speedy legal action on the matter.
A major highlight of the visit was a moment of reunion between the two security chiefs.
CP Ojajuni shared an old photograph showing himself and CC Ogunjobi during their undergraduate days as students of the Department of History at the former Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti, now Ekiti State University.
The visit ended with both agencies reaffirming their commitment to stronger inter-agency cooperation and improved security coordination in Ogun State. A group photograph was also taken to mark the occasion.
