The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, has embarked on a familiarization tour of Corridor 6 covering the Sagamu–Ijebu Ode–Ore–Benin route to assess traffic situations and ongoing road projects along the corridor.
The visit, which took place on Friday, was aimed at strengthening road safety measures and improving traffic management in line with the 2026 FRSC Corporate Strategic Goals targeted at reducing road traffic crash fatalities and injuries by 10 percent.
During the tour, Ogunjobi monitored traffic flow from Sagamu Interchange to Ijebu Ode and interacted with FRSC operational teams and commanding officers deployed along the route.
The Sector Commander also visited CBC Global Construction, the company handling the ongoing road project on the corridor. He commended the company for the progress recorded on the project and urged the management to provide more road signs within construction areas as well as install guardrails at the Ososa Triple Bridge to enhance safety for motorists and other road users.
Ogunjobi further appealed to the construction company to continue supporting the Corps in promoting effective road safety administration and improved service delivery.
Responding, the Project Supervisor of the company, Engineer Adebajo, appreciated the visit and assured the FRSC of the company’s commitment to supporting road safety measures and achieving the Corps’ objectives.
The Ogun Sector Command reaffirmed its commitment to safer roads through strategic partnerships, effective traffic management, and continuous engagement with stakeholders.
