The Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on inter-ethnic affairs, Hon. Monday Chukwuji has felicitated with residents of Ogun State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the 2026 democracy day.
Hon. Chukwuji in a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists in Abeokuta called on Nigerians to maintain unity, faith, peace and progress which are the core values and motto of the country.
He equally hailed the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun on his efforts and commitment towards the development of the State and the country at large.
Abiodun’s aide also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his love for the country, urging Nigerians to be patient with the President as regards to the challenges facing the country.
He said “On this auspicious occasion of Democracy Day, I heartily congratulate all Nigerians, especially residents of Ogun State on another milestone in our collective democratic journey. Today offers us an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of our heroes and the enduring strength of the democratic ideals that continue to shape our nation.
“We must reject actions capable of undermining our democratic institutions and instead strengthen the values of tolerance, dialogue, unity, and responsible citizenship”
He therefore urged Nigerians to remain committed to preservation and protection of democracy.
