The Yovela Impact Network Foundation, in collaboration with the Renewed Impactful Minds Catalyst Foundation, has successfully concluded a vocational skills acquisition training programme aimed at empowering individuals with practical skills for self-reliance and economic growth.
The four-day training programme, which commenced on Monday, May 18, 2026, ended on Thursday, May 21, 2026, with the presentation of certificates to participants in recognition of the various skills acquired during the exercise.
The training was held at the African Church opposite Rite Shopping Mall, via Beckley Estate, Ahmadiyah, Lagos State.
Speaking during the certificate presentation ceremony, the President of Renewed Impactful Minds Catalyst Foundation, Barrister Ashiyanbi Michael Idowu, alongside the Coordinator of Yovela Impact Network Foundation, Chief Olugbanga Akande, encouraged participants to make good use of the knowledge and skills gained during the programme.
They urged the beneficiaries to continue learning and improving themselves, stressing that every form of knowledge contributes to personal growth, self-development and financial independence.

Participants received training in different vocational skills including shoe making, resin pen making, hair styling, pedicure and manicure, cocktail drinks preparation, soap making and perfume production, among others.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the organisers and collaborating foundations for giving them the opportunity to acquire valuable vocational skills. They also pledged to put the training into practice and remain committed to continuous learning and self-improvement.
One of the coordinators of Yovela Impact Network Foundation, Mrs. Aderonke Olaore, also encouraged the participants to make effective use of the acquired skills for personal development and economic empowerment.
She noted that the programme was only the beginning, expressing confidence that many of the participants would grow the skills into sustainable sources of livelihood and become employers of labour in the future.
One of the beneficiaries, Solomon Oluwayemisi Juliet, expressed gratitude to the Yovela Impact Network Foundation for organising the training programme, promising to make good use of the opportunity and apply the acquired skills towards building a means of livelihood for herself.
Another beneficiary, Awunu Temitope, also appreciated the Yovela Impact Network Foundation for the initiative, describing the opportunity as a dream come true.
According to her, she had long been searching for an opportunity to acquire vocational skills and considered herself fortunate to be among the beneficiaries of the programme.
Also speaking, Bankole Iretomiwa appreciated the organisers for the impactful initiative, noting that the training had exposed participants to practical skills capable of transforming lives and creating economic opportunities.
Similarly, Afolabi Grace Aduke thanked the Yovela Impact Network Foundation and the Renewed Impactful Minds Catalyst Foundation for the opportunity, pledging to make productive use of the skills acquired during the training.
Other beneficiaries also commended the Yovela Impact Network Foundation and the Renewed Impactful Minds Catalyst Foundation for the impactful initiative, describing the programme as timely, beneficial and life-changing.
