Hon. Ayodeji Sodrudeen Abolore, popularly known as (ASA), on Thursday mobilised his loyalists and party faithful across Abeokuta South Local Government in support of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) during the All Progressives Congress governorship primaries in Ogun State.
ASA led the mobilisation exercise at Ward 11, Kemta/Lakejina, where party members turned out in large numbers to participate in the primary election.
At the end of the exercise, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, who emerged as the consensus candidate of the APC ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, polled 2,500 votes in Ward 11.
Speaking after the exercise, (ASA), an aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, said the massive support for Senator Adeola was in line with the directive of the party leadership to ensure the emergence of the lawmaker as the next governor of Ogun State.
He added that he had directed his political followers across the 15 wards in Abeokuta South to fully participate in the primary election and support Senator Adeola.
“I have directed my political followers in the 15 wards in Abeokuta South to go out and vote for the emergence of our consensus candidate in the Ogun State governorship election.”
“I also told them to vote for Senator YAYI during the election proper so our party, APC, will continue to lead again.”
ASA commended party leaders and stakeholders for coming out in large numbers to supervise and participate in the process, describing the exercise as peaceful and successful.
Among dignitaries present at the exercise were the Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Afeez Balogun; former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Titi Oseni, former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Idowu Olowofuja and APC state leader, Alhaji Moshood Akinyele.
ASA further assured party leaders and members of his commitment to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to ensure the success of the YAYI mandate in the forthcoming governorship election.
