The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has announced April 28 to 30, 2026, for the written examination for police recruitment.
The exam is for applicants seeking to join the force as Police Constables in both General Duty and Specialist roles. It will take place at approved centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The PSC said only candidates who passed the earlier physical and document screening are eligible for the test. Qualified applicants are required to visit the recruitment portal to print their examination invitation cards, which contain details of their exam date, time, and venue.
Candidates are expected to come to the exam centres with a pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and their printed invitation card. They are also to wear white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.
The Commission warned that the recruitment process is free and advised applicants to avoid fraudsters or anyone asking for money to secure a job.
It added that anyone involved in recruitment scams will be arrested and prosecuted.
The PSC urged all applicants to follow the instructions and attend their exams as scheduled.
