Arsenal have reportedly set a financial condition for Victor Osimhen as the Premier League club continues to explore the possibility of signing the Nigerian striker from Galatasaray.
The Gunners are said to be interested in bringing the 27-year-old forward to England despite Galatasaray’s decision to keep him beyond the current summer transfer window.
According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal have held discussions over a potential transfer as manager Mikel Arteta looks to add another attacking option to his squad.
However, the club is reportedly unwilling to match Osimhen’s current salary package at Galatasaray, which is said to be worth more than €20 million annually.
Arsenal are also not prepared to make what they consider an excessive financial offer to secure the striker.
The development leaves Osimhen with a decision to make as negotiations continue — either accept lower personal terms to facilitate a move to Arsenal or remain with Galatasaray.
Osimhen is reportedly admired by Arteta, who wants to strengthen his attacking options before the transfer window closes on September 1.
