A senior lieutenant to notorious bandit leader Kachalla Muhammadu, identified as Biliya, has reportedly been killed during a security operation in the Matazu axis of Katsina State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development on Saturday, August 15, 2026, citing intelligence from a monitored conversation between two suspected bandit associates.
According to the report, Biliya and members of his gang had gone on an operation in the area before security forces reportedly attacked them.
Biliya was said to have been left in a shop when the group came under attack. His associates reportedly later confirmed his death after returning to their leader’s location.
The development reportedly angered members of the group, with one of the associates expressing frustration over Biliya’s death.
Authorities have yet to officially confirm the reported death.
