The Coordinator of the Nigeria Agricultural Cooperative Organization (NACO), Ogun State Chapter, Pastor Olatunji Abogunrin, has congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, praising his administration’s achievements and commitment to people-oriented governance.
In a statement issued on Friday, Abogunrin described Governor Abiodun, who also serves as Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, as a visionary and dedicated leader whose policies and programmes have continued to reposition Ogun State for sustainable growth and development.
Abogunrin also commended the governor for his support for agriculture in Ogun State, particularly his contributions to farmers under the Nigeria Agricultural Cooperative Organization (NACO). He noted that the Dapo Abiodun administration has made farming easier through the provision of farm inputs, fertilizers, and other agricultural support programmes aimed at boosting food production and improving farmers’ livelihoods.
He noted that the governor’s birthday coincides with his seventh year in office, a period he said has witnessed remarkable progress under the administration’s “Building Our Future Together” Agenda.
According to him, the developmental blueprint, anchored on five key pillars — infrastructure, social well-being and welfare, education, youth empowerment and job creation, as well as agriculture — has significantly improved the quality of life of residents across the state.
Abogunrin particularly commended the governor for the transformation of Ogun State’s infrastructure sector, citing the construction of a modern airport and the establishment of an airline as major milestones that have enhanced the state’s economic profile.
He also applauded the administration’s adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electric vehicles as part of efforts to modernise transportation and promote environmentally friendly initiatives.
The NACO coordinator further acknowledged the governor’s strides in healthcare delivery, educational development, and the creation of a business-friendly environment that has attracted investments and strengthened industrial growth in the state.
He added that Governor Abiodun’s efforts in improving the ease of doing business and advancing industrialisation align with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at driving national economic prosperity.
“As the Governor celebrates this special occasion, I join his family, friends, and the good people of Ogun State in wishing him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the nation,” Abogunrin stated.
