A former Ogun State House of Assembly aspirant for Odogbolu State Constituency and Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Alhaji Moshood Adetayo Abubakar, popularly known as Daytayo, has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) on the successful unveiling of his gubernatorial campaign office in Abeokuta, describing it as the beginning of a new chapter in Ogun State politics.
Daytayo, who is also the Founder of the Daytayo Progressive Movement (DPM), said the formal opening of the campaign office represents more than the inauguration of a physical structure, noting that it reflects preparedness, strategic planning and a clear vision ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.
According to him, anyone privileged to witness the unveiling would agree that the political landscape in Ogun State is changing, adding that the 2027 governorship race would no longer be “business as usual.”
He said the campaign had already begun to project a new political approach anchored on ideas, strategic coordination, grassroots mobilisation and purposeful leadership, expressing confidence that Senator Yayi’s experience and record of public service would continue to inspire confidence among the people of Ogun State.
Daytayo urged political actors across party lines to embrace issue-based campaigns focused on competence, credibility, performance and practical solutions to the challenges confronting the state, rather than engaging in personal attacks or divisive politics.
He described the unveiling of the campaign office as the beginning of a movement for a greater Ogun State, calling on progressive-minded citizens to participate actively in building a better future through constructive engagement and responsible politics.
The Special Assistant to the Governor reaffirmed his unwavering support for Senator Yayi’s governorship ambition and expressed optimism that the campaign would continue to gather momentum across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.
He also prayed for a peaceful, credible and issue-driven electioneering process as the state prepares for the 2027 governorship election.
