Abeokuta — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Ogun State Ministry of Transportation as part of efforts to enhance road safety and improve traffic management across the state.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, made this known on Monday during a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo, in Abeokuta.
The visit formed part of the Sector Commander’s familiarisation tour aimed at fostering stronger partnerships with government institutions and other key stakeholders in road safety administration.
Speaking during the visit, Ogunjobi appreciated the Ministry for its continued support to the FRSC and pledged to sustain a cordial and productive working relationship with the Ministry and other relevant agencies.
He stressed that effective inter-agency collaboration remains vital to improving traffic management, ensuring the free flow of vehicular movement, and reducing road traffic crashes across Ogun State.
Responding, the Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo, welcomed the Sector Commander and commended the initiative, describing collaboration among agencies as essential to achieving a safer and more efficient transportation system.
Dairo reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the FRSC in promoting road safety and improving transportation service delivery across the state.
He also underscored the need for regular information sharing, coordinated operations, and mutual support among sister agencies, noting that such synergy would facilitate the timely identification and resolution of traffic congestion and other transportation challenges.
Both the FRSC and the Ministry concluded the meeting by reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening inter-agency cooperation in the collective pursuit of safer roads, improved traffic management, and enhanced transportation services for residents of Ogun State.
