The Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Angel Adelaja-Kuye, has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) on his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election.
Dr. Adelaja-Kuye, who also serves as the Convener of Farmers for Progress and Coordinator of the YAYI Tractor Empowerment Programme, described the development as a significant milestone for the state and a strong indication of continuity in governance and development

“The emergence of Senator Adeola is not only a victory for our great party and the good people of Ogun State, but also a major win for the agricultural and agro-allied sector,” she said.
She noted that farmers across the state have benefited immensely from the current administration’s deliberate focus on agriculture through sustained investments and strategic interventions.

“Farmers have experienced unprecedented support under this administration that prioritizes agriculture and food security. It is important that this level of commitment is sustained and expanded,” she added.
Highlighting Senator Adeola’s track record, Dr. Adelaja-Kuye stated that his contributions to the agricultural sector—through training programmes, farmer empowerment initiatives, infrastructure development, mechanization services, and provision of inputs and equipment—have earned him the confidence of farmers across the state.

“Based on his demonstrated support for farmers, there is strong confidence that, as Governor, he will consolidate on existing gains and ensure the continuity of meaningful development within the agricultural space,” she said.
She also commended Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his leadership and foresight in supporting a candidate who represents stability and continuity.
“We are grateful to His Excellency for his wisdom in ensuring the emergence of a candidate who embodies progress, stability, and continuity. This decision reflects a deep commitment to the sustained development of Ogun State,” she noted.
Dr. Adelaja-Kuye expressed optimism about the future of the state, adding that farmers look forward to Senator Adeola’s leadership as Governor and the continued service of Governor Abiodun at the national level.
