I greet you with deep respect,Abeokuta South is not just another constituency. We are the premier constituency. We are the trendsetters. History shows that when Abeokuta South moves, others take note. At defining moments like this, destiny does not answer to delay, it answers to decision. The time to choose the future we truly deserve is now.
Great societies rise when their people focus on what truly matters. As the philosopher Plato once warned, “The price good people pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by bad men.”This moment calls us to attention, courage, and action.
Let us speak truth to ourselves.
Continuity at the House of Representatives has not served Abeokuta South well. Our collective mandate has been reduced to personal privilege. Resources meant for all have been diverted to benefit only a few, those considered to be in the good books. The familiar slogan of “Osi nbe, o bene” has become a tool of division rather than development, segregation instead of service. Promises were made, but our communities still wait. Our youths still struggle. Our potential remains untapped.
Political power, as Edmund Burke rightly observed, is a trust: “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one.” This is not a call to bitterness, it is a call to unity and renewal.
I write to you today with sincerity of heart and clarity of purpose.
My name is Engr. Abolore Sodrudeen Ayodeji, popularly known as ASA. I am offering myself to serve as your representative at the House of Representatives for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency. I am young, yes, but more importantly, I am prepared. I have the energy to work, the competence to legislate, and the political acumen to attract meaningful opportunities to our people.
This is the spirit of Youth O’Clock, not recklessness, but readiness; not noise, but new ideas; not entitlement, but service.
As Nelson Mandela reminded the world, “YoThe youthf today are the leaders of tomorrow.” But tomorrow does not come by wishing, it comes by choosing.
I believe leadership must be felt in roads built, schools improved, jobs created, and voices heard. Leadership must be accountable, inclusive, and people-driven, not selective, distant, or self-serving.
