The Atiku Media Office has announced the passing of Mr. Ifeanyi Izeze, a prominent member of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s media team. Izeze, who joined the team in 2006, was a senior member and pioneer Office Manager who played a key role in shaping the campaign policies of Atiku’s presidential campaigns in the Niger Delta.
Izeze, a trained geologist, had a successful career in journalism, reporting and writing extensively on Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. He was a valued member of the Atiku Media Office and will be deeply missed by colleagues, friends, and family.
A born-again Christian and ordained preacher, Izeze was known for his sense of humor and dedication to his work. He leaves behind children, grandchildren, and a surviving brother, Pastor Emeka Izeze of the Guardian Newspapers.
Atiku Abubakar’s media office has expressed condolences to Izeze’s family, describing him as a “prodigious” individual who made significant contributions to the team. Further details about his burial will be made public by his family.
