Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has rewarded 177 outstanding public servants in Lagos State with five brand new cars and N165.5 million. The awards were presented at the 2025 Mr. Governor’s luncheon with outstanding officers of Lagos State Public Service.
Five senior civil servants won the cars through a raffle draw, while 94 others received N1 million each. In the junior category, five staff members received N5 million each, and 73 others got N500,000 each.
Governor Sanwo-Olu urged public servants to remain diligent and consistent in their duties, noting that hard work would be recognized. He also announced the promotion of Mrs Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa to Permanent Secretary and donated N10 million to her office’s staff.
The Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, said the awardees were selected through a rigorous process from 312 nominations. He commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for supporting public servants and encouraged staff to maintain high standards.
The event marked the end of the 2025 Public Service Week, highlighting the importance of public service in governance and development. Governor Sanwo-Olu and Mr Agoro urged awardees to sustain their excellence and commitment to duty.
