Ogun Central youth unity advocacy and empowerment initiative foundation, peace initiative committee has intensified its efforts to curb cultism, kidnapping, and other social vices across the state. The group has achieved this through a series of awareness campaigns and strategic visits to key stakeholders, especially within schools across Ogun Central.
As part of the initiative, the association installed signposts carrying messages on the dangers and consequences of cultism and related social vices.
Global Tribune observed on Thursday that some of these signposts were mounted in Oke-Mosan and Ita-Oshin, all aimed at promoting prevention and encouraging young people to shun cult-related activities.
In the last three months, the association has visited several institutions, including the Federal College of Education, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and D.S. Adegbonro ICT Polytechnic.
The group also paid a courtesy visit to the SWAT Commander at the Ogun State Headquarters and engaged several Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) within Ogun Central to strengthen collaboration in the fight against cultism.
All these efforts highlight the association’s commitment to championing advocacy for the prevention of cultism and other social vices in Ogun State.
Ultimately, the initiative seeks to promote peace, harmony, and unity across Ogun, a state previously perceived as experiencing rising cult-related concerns.
