The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), South West Zone, has sought a partnership with Dangote PLC to create job opportunity slots for competent and qualified youths across the region.
The South West Vice President of the Council, Comrade Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo, made the appeal during a working visit to the Dangote Cement Plant in Ibese, Ogun State, where he addressed youths participating in the ongoing ICT training organized by Dangote Cement in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
Olorunjubelo commended Dangote Cement for its continued commitment to youth development through impactful capacity-building initiatives, describing the ICT training as a laudable effort aimed at equipping young people with relevant digital skills needed in today’s technology-driven world.
He further urged the company to collaborate with the NYCN South West Zone ahead of its forthcoming South West Youth Empowerment Program, noting that such partnership would provide a platform to tackle unemployment and promote sustainable youth development.
The NYCN Vice President expressed optimism that the proposed collaboration between the Council and Dangote PLC would serve as a game changer in empowering young Nigerians and preparing them for productive roles in national development.
