The Coordinator of the Nigerian Agricultural Cooperative Organization (NACO) in Ogun State, Pastor Olatunji Abogunrin, has commended the Ogun State Government for successfully hosting the ongoing National Sports Festival, tagged Gateway Games.
In an interview with Global Tribune Reporter on Friday, Pastor Abogunrin expressed his delight over the prestigious sporting event, noting that it reflects the commitment of the state government to youth development, sports excellence, and national unity through sports.
According to Pastor Abogunrin, the state-of-the-art sporting facilities being utilized for the festival are “world-class” and capable of competing with any modern sports infrastructure across the country.
The NACO Coordinator further stated that the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival is a testament to the state government’s commitment to promoting sports development and youth empowerment.
In a related development, Pastor Abogunrin used the opportunity to appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun to consider the needs of farmers in the state.
He acknowledged the governor’s efforts in promoting agriculture in the state but expressed the need for a meeting with the Ogun State Nigerian Agricultural Cooperative Farmers to discuss ways of benefiting more from the government and increasing food production in the state.
