Chelsea FC is reportedly making a strong push to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Nigerian striker Victor Boniface in the summer transfer window.
The Blues are on the hunt for another forward to compete with Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu, following injuries to both players that have forced manager Enzo Maresca to use Pedro Neto as a false nine in recent weeks.
According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea is determined to bring Boniface on board, despite growing competition from other top clubs.
The London club is aware of interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United, who have shortlisted Boniface as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak.
Chelsea plans to hold talks with both Boniface and Leverkusen in the near future.
Previous reports suggest that Chelsea may need to shell out around €70 million to secure Boniface’s services.
The 24-year-old striker has impressed in the Bundesliga, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances for Leverkusen this season.
He has also netted 10 goals in 20 matches in all competitions, earning him a spot in coach Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles 39-man provisional squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
