*Police Set to Host Passing Out Parade for 2022 Recruit Intakes*
The Ogun State Police Command has announced that the Passing Out Parade for the 2022 recruit intakes will take place on January 23, 2025, at the Police Training School in Iperu. The event, scheduled to commence at 10:00 am, will feature a total of 308 young officers who have undergone a six-month compulsory police training.
The training program comprised three main courses: Professional Studies, Legal Studies, and Liberal Studies. Professional Studies covered various aspects of police duties, including history, organization, beat system, and discipline. Legal Studies encompassed constitutional law, criminal law, evidence act, and traffic law. Liberal Studies included English, computer skills, gender studies, French, community policing, social media policy, and public relations.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has made significant efforts to reorient the police force towards professionalism and civility. The IGP has also directed the newly passing-out junior officers to shun corruption, warning that those found guilty will face severe consequences.
