Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has paid tribute to his late aide, Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi, describing him as a trustworthy and supportive politician who made significant contributions to the state’s development, particularly in the housing sector ¹.
Egunjobi served as Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing until his passing. Governor Abiodun, represented by his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, acknowledged the state’s loss, praising Egunjobi’s honour, integrity, and selflessness.
At the eight-day Fidau Prayer held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Marquee, Abiodun hailed Egunjobi as a people’s advocate, always positive and passionate about development. He urged the public to emulate Egunjobi’s exemplary life and legacy.
Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, mourned Egunjobi as a true friend and brother, noting his invaluable contributions to the Ministry’s success.
Egunjobi’s son, Farouk, expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun, Commissioner Omoniyi, and others for their support during the family’s bereavement.
The Fidau Prayer programme featured recitations from the Holy Quran and special prayers for the deceased’s family.
Governor Abiodun recognized Egunjobi’s diligence, commitment, and hard work, acknowledging that his advice would be greatly missed.
