Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has called on the Church, Body of Christ, to continue seeking God’s guidance for national unity and economic stability. The Governor made this plea at the 75th Diamond Adoption Thanksgiving Service of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Yewa Provincial Headquarters, held in Ilaro, Ogun State.
Represented by the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, Governor Abiodun expressed confidence that with the constant prayers of spiritual leaders, Nigeria will emerge strong again. He emphasized the Church’s role as the conscience of society, helping the nation realize its founding fathers’ aspirations.
The Governor encouraged the Church to promote greater understanding among members and align with his administration’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda. He praised the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim for promoting spiritual growth and serving as a beacon of hope.
Governor Abiodun reiterated his administration’s commitment to citizens’ socio-economic and spiritual welfare, pledging to remain non-partisan in religious matters. He stressed the importance of religious harmony for peaceful coexistence and security within the State.
Osun State Governor, Dr. Ademola Adeleke, represented by his sister, Snr. Mother in Israel Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, appreciated God’s blessings upon the church and pledged his family’s commitment to its growth.
Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, thanked the clergy and laity for the anniversary, highlighting prayers as the sustaining factor for the country’s progress. He solicited the Church’s continuous support for peace and progress in governance.
In a sermon, Apostle Gideon Babalola urged Christians to move away from sin and return to God’s original plan. He congratulated the congregants on the anniversary and advised Christians to take up responsibilities.
The Chief Host, Elder Biodun Sanyaolu, thanked the governors for their support and requested further assistance for the completion of the church’s vicarage.
The event featured prayers for the State Government and the cutting of the 75th-anniversary cake, marking a significant milestone for the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Yewa Provincial Headquarters.
