Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved the reconstruction of several major roads in the state, including Imoro-Imegun-Opopo road, Igbeba-Eid praying ground to Prison road, Imoru road in Ijebu-Ode, and Odelewu-Ladeshi-Ishiwo road.
The governor made this known during a town hall meeting on the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and 2025 Budget held at the Bisi Rodipe Event Center, Ijebu-Ode.
Governor Abiodun stated that his administration has constructed over 600 kilometers of roads across the state, with 243.3 kilometers completed in the Ogun East Senatorial District.
He also disclosed that 64 kilometers of rural roads are being constructed in select local government areas, while the Gateway International Agro-cargo Airport’s construction will position Ogun State as a major logistics hub.
Additionally, the governor announced the procurement of 25 patrol vans and surveillance drones to enhance security along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, noted that 377 inputs were received during the 2023 town hall meetings, with 90% incorporated into the budget.
Monarchs in the district, including the Gbegande of Ososa and the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, commended the administration for sustaining town hall meetings.
The governor reiterated his commitment to infrastructure development and citizen engagement, ensuring that Ogun State remains a hub for economic growth and progress.
