A Celestial Church of Christ pastor and his wife have reportedly died following a late-night domestic incident in the Akiode community of Ogun State.
The deceased pastor, identified as Bidemi Odukoya, who reportedly served as the Shepherd of Iri Orun Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ, was said to have been involved in a domestic dispute with his wife at about 2am.
According to reports, the incident allegedly turned violent, resulting in the death of his wife. Odukoya, who was reportedly a father of three boys, was said to have subsequently left the community.
He was later reportedly involved in another incident around Coker Junction, along the Ifo section of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, where he allegedly died after coming into contact with a moving truck.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths, including reports that the incident was linked to allegations of infidelity, could not be independently verified as of the time of filing this report.
The remains of the couple were reportedly buried beside their residence on Monday evening.
The Ogun State Police Command had yet to officially confirm the incident or provide details on its circumstances as of press time.
