The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, has celebrated the promotion of 57 officers across various ranks, describing the development as a recognition of hard work, dedication and professionalism.
The officers, who were promoted across different cadres, comprise five Assistant Corps Commanders, 27 Chief Route Commanders, 16 Superintendent Route Commanders, six Route Commanders and one Deputy Route Commander.
Among those elevated is the Ogun State Sector Public Relations Officer, CRC Afolabi Odunsi, whose promotion was described as a recognition of his commitment to effective public communication and stakeholder engagement.
Speaking on the development, the Sector Commander, RS2.2 Ogun Sector Command, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to see their new ranks as more than just a reward for past service.
According to him, the promotion comes with greater responsibility and a renewed expectation to contribute meaningfully to the Corps’ mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and protecting lives on Nigerian roads.
Ogunjobi charged the officers to uphold discipline, professionalism, integrity and leadership in the discharge of their duties, stressing the need for them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Corps.
He also encouraged the promoted personnel to remain committed to their responsibilities and continue to serve the motoring public with diligence and dedication.
The Ogun Sector Command expressed appreciation to the Corps Marshal and Management of the FRSC for recognising the contributions of its personnel, while wishing all the newly promoted officers greater achievements in their new ranks.
The promotion, coming as a boost to the officers, is expected to further strengthen their resolve to deliver on the Corps’ mandate and contribute to safer roads across Ogun State and Nigeria.
