The Ogun State Chapter of the Pig Farmers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), under the leadership of its Chairman, Elder Olugbenga Arinde, has joined other well-wishers in celebrating Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as he marks his 57th birthday.
In a congratulatory message signed by Elder Arinde, the PFAN chairman described Senator Adeola as a distinguished public servant and accomplished legislator whose years of service have contributed significantly to governance and development in Ogun State and Nigeria.
Elder Arinde noted that agriculture remains a critical component of the state’s economy and commended Senator Adeola for his interest in the sector, particularly his efforts and interventions aimed at improving the fortunes of farmers and other players within the agricultural value chain.
He said the senator’s attention to agriculture demonstrates an understanding of the sector’s importance to food production, job creation, poverty reduction and the overall economic prosperity of the state.
The PFAN chairman also acknowledged the importance of collaboration between political leaders, government institutions and agricultural stakeholders, saying stronger partnerships would further create an enabling environment for farmers to expand their businesses and contribute more effectively to food security.
According to him, the development of livestock farming, including pig production, requires sustained support, access to opportunities and policies that encourage investment, adding that stakeholders in the sector would continue to appreciate initiatives that promote agricultural growth.
Elder Arinde further praised Senator Adeola for his wider contributions to Ogun State, noting that his involvement in initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and creating economic opportunities had made him a prominent stakeholder in the state’s development.
He expressed optimism that Senator Adeola would continue to use his experience and position to support programmes that positively impact farmers, businesses and communities across Ogun State.
While congratulating the senator on attaining the age of 57, Elder Arinde prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, wisdom and strength for Senator Adeola, wishing him many more years of productive service to the people.
