Shareholders of HBM Nigeria Plc are set to receive an interim dividend of N16 per ordinary share for the first half of 2026 following the company’s robust financial performance and sustained earnings growth.
The Board of Directors approved the interim payout at its meeting on Monday alongside the company’s unaudited financial statements for the period ended 30 June 2026.
In a corporate disclosure filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the company said the dividend will be paid on 17 August 2026 to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members at the close of business on 12 August 2026.
To facilitate the payment, the Register of Shareholders will be closed from 13 to 14 August 2026. The dividend will be subject to the applicable withholding tax.
The N16 interim dividend marks a sharp increase from the N6.00 paid earlier in 2026, reflecting the company’s stronger profitability and continued commitment to delivering value to investors.
HBM Nigeria, formerly Lafarge Africa, recorded a strong start to the year, with first-quarter revenue rising 35 per cent year-on-year to N334.9 billion, while profit after tax more than doubled to N97.95 billion.
The cement manufacturer also closed the 2025 financial year on a strong note, posting revenue of more than N1.1 trillion and profit after tax of about N273 billion, representing a 173 per cent increase. Shareholders had earlier approved a final dividend of N6 per share for the 2025 financial year.
The company said its dividend policy reflects a balance between rewarding shareholders and sustaining investments in operational efficiency and long-term growth across its nationwide operations.
