Suspected bandits have attacked Makoda town in Makoda Local Government Area of Kano State, killing one person and injuring two others.
The attack, which reportedly occurred on Thursday night, was disclosed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on X on Friday.
According to him, more than 30 heavily armed men riding motorcycles stormed the community and opened fire indiscriminately, forcing residents to flee for safety.
The attackers were said to have killed one resident, injured two others, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
Residents described the assailants as heavily armed, saying the attack threw the community into panic before the gunmen fled.
Commenting on the incident, Bakatsine expressed concern over the apparent spread of insecurity into Kano State.
“If armed groups can now strike communities in Kano with such ease, what does that say about the country’s ability to prevent insecurity from spreading even further?” he wrote.
