Three people have lost their lives in a fatal road crash along the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway in Ogun State.
The accident happened around 1:04 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Oniworo area of the busy highway.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the crash involved two vehicles — a blue Lexus Jeep with registration number GGE 18 JV and an unregistered Boxer motorcycle.

A total of eight male adults were involved in the accident. Three of them died, while one person was injured.
FRSC officials said the suspected causes of the crash were speeding and a tyre burst.
Rescue workers from the Ogunmakin Unit Command of the FRSC arrived at the scene within five minutes after receiving the distress call. The injured victim was taken to Victory Hospital in Ogere for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were deposited at FOS Morgue in Ipara.

Officials also cleared the road to ease traffic, while the damaged vehicles were moved to MTD Alapako Police Station for further investigation.
The Ogun State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, expressed sympathy to the families of the victims. He also advised motorists to obey speed limits and ensure their tyres are in good condition before traveling.
