A political group, Team DA 4 PBAT 2027, has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, following his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun State for the 2027 election.
The group made this known in a press release issued by its State Coordinator, Honorable Ajeigbe Umar Ishola, describing the development as a major step towards the party’s preparation for the next general elections.
According to the statement, the decision to adopt Senator Yayi as the consensus candidate was reached by the leadership of the APC in Ogun State after due consultations.
It added that the number one leader of the party in the state, alongside other key stakeholders and party leaders, unanimously agreed on the endorsement of the lawmaker.
The group noted that the consensus arrangement reflects unity and a shared vision among party leaders to ensure victory for the APC in the 2027 governorship election.
Honorable Ajeigbe Umar Ishola therefore directed all members of Team DA 4 PBAT 2027 across the 236 wards in Ogun State to comply with the party’s decision.
He urged members to remain committed and mobilize support for Senator Yayi in line with the directive of the party leadership.
The group reaffirmed its loyalty to the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, stating that it remains fully aligned with his administration and political direction.
It also reiterated its support for the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, popularly known as PBAT, stressing that the group will continue to work in line with the broader goals of the APC.
Team DA 4 PBAT 2027, however, called for unity among party members and stakeholders, urging them to work together to ensure a successful outing for the party in the 2027 general elections.
