The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old man, Alabi Anthony, for allegedly raping and killing an elderly woman, Olaseni Veronica, in Iboropa Akoko, Akoko North-East Local Government Area.
The incident occurred on Friday, and the suspect was apprehended following credible intelligence and tracking of the deceased’s missing phone. According to the police, Anthony confessed to the crime, admitting to having carnal knowledge of the victim and strangling her to death.
