The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, has secured the conviction of 17 traffic offenders during a Mobile Court session held in Ogere on Tuesday, March 18, 2026.
The court session, presided over by Magistrate O.S. Fadahunsi, was part of the Corps’ ongoing efforts to enforce traffic laws and promote road safety along major highways in the state.
During the proceedings, a total of 17 offenders were arraigned for various traffic-related offences. All the accused persons were convicted after evidence was presented and admissions of guilt were recorded, with no discharges for the day.
According to the command, the session recorded a total of 30 offences, out of which 28 attracted fines, while all 17 offenders were convicted.
The Ogun State Sector Commander, Akinwunmi Fasakin, stressed that strict enforcement of traffic regulations remains crucial in reducing road crashes and ensuring smooth traffic flow, particularly along the busy Ogere corridor.
He urged motorists to comply with traffic rules, warning that the Mobile Court would continue to prosecute violators involved in reckless driving and other statutory infractions.
Also speaking, the Unit Commander, Clement Akpenwuan, noted that disobedience to traffic laws has far-reaching consequences, impacting families and placing additional burdens on government resources.
The FRSC reiterated its commitment to sustained enforcement operations as part of broader measures to enhance safety on Nigerian roads.
