The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre Worldwide, Dr Paul Enenche, has said that only the mercy of God can deliver Nigeria from its numerous challenges.
Enenche made this remark while speaking with journalists in Makurdi, Benue State, shortly after arriving for a two-day Healing and Deliverance Crusade.
According to Enenche, Nigerians need to connect with the mercy of God to free the nation and its people from the shackles that have held them captive.
He urged leaders at all levels to look up to God, take responsibility for their actions, and show genuine concern for the people.
“We are here to connect with the God of mercy,” Enenche said. “The Bible says it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion does not fail; they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.”
Enenche added that Nigeria is facing numerous challenges, including insecurity, and that the nation needs God’s mercy to prevent it from being consumed. He cited the Bible, saying “they looked unto Him and were enlightened, and their faces were not ashamed.”
The Senior Pastor emphasized that Nigerians should look away from themselves and other alternatives and look up to God. He urged leaders to take responsibility and have a heart for human beings, saying “we trust God that He will help us.”
The church’s outreach programme, which began in Ankpa, Kogi State, on February 2 and ended in Makurdi, Benue State, on February 7, featured crusades, prayers, deliverance sessions, and a large-scale free medical programme.
Residents of Ankpa, Gboko, and Makurdi benefited from the medical outreach, with teams of qualified health professionals offering free consultations, treatments, and diagnostic services. No fewer than 4,007 persons received medical attention, including 235 dental scaling and polishing procedures.
The medical outreach treated various conditions, including hypertension, malaria, diabetes, skin diseases, ulcers, and urinary tract infections. Laboratory investigations, such as malaria parasite tests and HIV screening, were also conducted.
The church also distributed food items, clothing, and other relief materials to beneficiaries. Enenche’s message has sparked interest among Nigerians, with many calling for spiritual intervention to address the nation’s challenges.
The development comes as Nigeria continues to face security challenges, with recent attacks in Kaduna and other parts of the country. The government has been working to address these issues, but many believe that spiritual guidance is needed to overcome them.
