The Patroness of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, and Ibuso Aje of Egbaland, Chief Mrs Florence Mojisola Oni-Quadri, has shared Christmas gifts with different groups and organisations in Ogun State to mark the festive season.
The distribution of food items and other gifts took place on Wednesday in Abeokuta. It was aimed at spreading joy and strengthening relationships.
Those who benefited included media organisations, banks, professional bodies, non-governmental organisations, community groups, corporate organisations and business partners in the state.
Speaking during the event, Chief Oni-Quadri, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Oni Electronics, said the gesture was to appreciate the support and good relationship she enjoyed with the groups throughout the year.
She said Christmas is a season of love, sharing and unity, and a time to show kindness to others.
“This is our own way of saying thank you for the support and cooperation we have received. Christmas is a time to share and carry everyone along,” she said.
Chief Oni-Quadri added that giving to others is both a personal belief and a social responsibility. She encouraged individuals and organisations who have the means to always support good causes, especially during festive periods.
Some of the beneficiaries described the gesture as timely and thoughtful. They praised her for always giving back to society and prayed for her continued success.
Chief Oni-Quadri has over the years supported many professional groups, community projects and humanitarian causes across Ogun State. Through her Ibuso Aje radio programme, she also supports small businesses by giving out grants, further showing her commitment to helping others.
