The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commenced an investigation into the alleged suicide of a 20-year-old man identified as Alfred Habila, from Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, Habila, who worked as a labourer, was reportedly found hanging in an uncompleted building behind River Park Estate, Lugbe, on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025.
A resident, Engr. Jatto Abdulkareem, told the police that he received a distress call from another resident, identified as Joshua, who discovered the lifeless body around 8 a.m.
Police operatives who arrived at the scene took photographs and evacuated the victim to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
The body has since been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy and preservation, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
