As House of Assembly Aspirant for Yewa North Constituency 1 in Ogun State, Oluwafemi Akinlawon has urged residents of the local government to obtain their Permanent Voters’ Card ahead of the 2027 elections.
Akinlawon warned that failure to do so will amount to disenfranchisement.
The House of Assembly Aspirant who spoke in Imasayi Yewa Ogun State on Thursday, noted that the right of the electorates to vote is not complete without PVC.
Akinlawon, a grassroots politician, stressed that the development of the local government is his primary concern.
He said “I am urging our people in Yewa North Local Government who haven’t obtained their PVCs to do so, in order to avoid disenfranchisement in the coming election.
“Don’t wait till 2027, as soon as INEC announces issuance of the card, go and get your own immediately.
“Also, don’t let anybody make you believe that your votes don’t count, your votes count and they are powerful. With your votes, you elect your choice candidate.
