The Chairman of the Nigerians Cassava Growers Association, Ogun State Chapter, Alhaji A. Busari, has congratulated Nigerians, including the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the occasion of Democracy Day, June 12.
In his congratulatory message, Alhaji Busari reflected on the significance of June 12, describing it as a symbol of Nigeria’s enduring commitment to democracy and a reminder of the sacrifices made by many compatriots.
Alhaji Busari honored the memory of Chief M.K.O Abiola, the hero of June 12, whose supreme sacrifice laid the foundation for Nigeria’s current democratic dispensation.
He also paid tribute to other heroes and heroines of the struggle, including Chief Mrs. Kudirat Abiola and Pa Alfred Rewane, who gave their lives in the fight for democracy.
The chairman praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a living hero and a close associate of Chief M.K.O Abiola, commending his commitment to democratic principles.
Alhaji Busari called on Nigerians to renew their commitment to democratic values and work together towards a better, more prosperous future for the country.
He emphasized the need for collective effort in promoting good governance and upholding the principles of democracy, which will ultimately lead to a brighter future for Nigeria.
