The Ogun State Police Command has announced the arrest of Jonah Onah, a suspected member of an armed robbery syndicate terrorizing the Olomore area of Abeokuta North Local Government.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, disclosed that Onah was apprehended at his hideout in Olomore on October 23, 2024, at 9:50 PM. The arrest followed credible intelligence leading to a raid operation.
Onah is believed to be part of a criminal group specializing in theft and pickpocketing. Exhibits recovered from him include a decoy gun and a jackknife.

This arrest comes after the Command recently apprehended 27-year-old Imole Ajayi for armed robbery in the Agbara area. Ajayi was found with a single-barrel shotgun and three live cartridges.
The police have commenced a manhunt for other members of the robbery syndicate. “Discreet investigations to apprehend other members of this syndicate have commenced,” Odutola concluded.
The Ogun State Police Command remains committed to tackling crime and ensuring public safety.
