The Ogun State Police Command has intensified efforts to apprehend a man identified as Kola following an allegation of repeated sexual assault involving a 17-year-old boy.
The suspect was declared wanted after the teenager, accompanied by his parents, reported the alleged abuse at the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
According to the police, the teenager alleged that Kola sexually assaulted him on three separate occasions in January 2026 and later threatened him to prevent him from speaking about the incidents.
Following the complaint, the police said the teenager was taken to a hospital within the Adigbe area for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation into the allegations.
The Command said the matter was formally reported to the police for the first time on September 8, prompting Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, to direct detectives to immediately begin efforts to locate and arrest the suspect.
Kola is currently at large as police operatives intensify the search for him.
The Command assured members of the public that the investigation would be conducted with urgency, professionalism and sensitivity, particularly given the age of the alleged victim.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babasiyi, said the Command remained committed to protecting children and other vulnerable persons.
Babasiyi added that allegations of abuse would be thoroughly investigated to ensure that appropriate action is taken and justice served.
