Ayetoro (Yewa North) Coordinator of the YAYI Tractor Users Association, Princess Soyebi Florence Olubunmi, has commended the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Angel Adelaja-Kuye, for recognising her contributions to rural development and agricultural empowerment.
Princess Olubunmi also expressed appreciation to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, for his continued support for farmers across Ogun State.
She received the Rural Development Award during the inauguration of the Local Management Teams (LMT) of the YAYI Tractor Users Association, Ogun State Chapter, held on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
Speaking with journalists after receiving the award, Princess Olubunmi said the recognition had renewed her hope and strengthened her resolve to continue training, supporting and empowering rural farmers in different aspects of agriculture.
She described Dr Adelaja-Kuye’s support and commitment to farmers across Ogun State as a major source of encouragement to farming communities, noting that her vision, compassion and dedication had contributed to strengthening the agricultural sector and improving the relevance of farmers across the state.
According to her, “Dr. Angel Adelaja-Kuye is not just holding a title; she carries her responsibility with excellence.” She further described the Special Adviser as a boss, leader, mother and source of inspiration to farmers.
Princess Olubunmi also appreciated Dr Adelaja-Kuye for listening to farmers’ concerns and ensuring that agriculture remains a priority across the state’s 20 local government areas.
She expressed particular appreciation to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, for his interventions in support of farmers, citing the provision of tractors, tricycles, power tillers and various agricultural inputs aimed at reducing the challenges associated with farming.
She also credited YAYI with supporting farmers through the provision of tractors and fertiliser, saying the interventions had helped to ease agricultural activities and provide relief to farmers across the state.
The Yewa North Coordinator pledged that farmers in the local government would continue to support YAYI, assuring that farmers across Yewa North would mobilise fully ahead of the 2027 elections.
“On behalf of all the farmers in Yewa North Local Government, we jointly say a deep thank you for the support given to us,” she said.
The inauguration brought together farmers, agricultural stakeholders and members of the YAYI Tractor Users Association from the 20 local government areas of Ogun State, marking the commencement of activities by the Local Management Teams across the state.
