The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has expressed support for the forthcoming “Laffta Chapter: Funny But True” comedy show, while commending talented and innovative youths who use their skills to contribute to the development of society.
CP Ojajuni stated this on Friday when the organiser of the comedy show, young media entrepreneur and comedian Joseph Dapreacher, paid him a courtesy visit at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Dapreacher was at the Commissioner’s office to formally inform him about the event and seek his support and presence at the programme.
Speaking during the meeting, CP Ojajuni said he appreciated young people who were using their talents and creativity to make positive contributions to society. He noted that he particularly admired innovative youths who were using their talents to create value and promote development.
The Commissioner also assured the organiser that he would, in his own capacity, support the creative industry and make efforts to be present at the event.
In his response, Dapreacher thanked CP Ojajuni for granting him the opportunity to meet with him, as well as for the words of encouragement and support.
He said he would be honoured to receive the Commissioner at the “Laffta Chapter: Funny But True” comedy show, scheduled to hold on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.
Dapreacher added that the Commissioner’s support and encouragement would further motivate young creatives to continue using their talents to contribute positively to society.
