Some leaders and stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State have called on the party’s national leadership to investigate allegations against the state chairman, Otunba Femi Soluade.
In a petition dated June 20, 2026, the party members accused Soluade of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and unethical conduct. They also alleged that he assaulted his deputy and mismanaged party funds.
The petition, signed by Hudu Idris, Ismaila Adejumon, Temitope Adebayo, and Rashidat Yekin, stated that their action was aimed at promoting accountability, transparency, justice, and discipline within the party.
According to the petition, concerns have been raised over the management of funds belonging to the Ogun State chapter of the party. The petitioners requested a comprehensive audit of the party’s accounts and an investigation into all financial transactions since Soluade assumed office as acting chairman in December 2024.
They further alleged that some officials who were signatories to the party’s bank account were removed without due approval. The petitioners also claimed that several aspirants were instructed to pay money into Soluade’s personal bank account instead of the party’s official account.
The petition additionally raised allegations of harassment and molestation involving a female aspirant. The group urged the party’s national leadership to constitute an independent panel to investigate the claims and hear testimonies from all parties involved.
According to the petitioners, the allegations have created divisions within the party and eroded members’ confidence in the state leadership. They therefore called on the National Chairman and the National Working Committee to establish an investigative panel and conduct a forensic audit of the Ogun State chapter’s finances.
When contacted for his reaction, the Ogun State ADC Chairman, Otunba Femi Soluade, said he would respond in 30 minuts to the allegations. However, as of the time of filing this report, he had not provided his response.
