APC governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Dr. Adetunji Oredipe, has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering transformational governance if elected in 2027, stressing that a vibrant and responsible opposition remains crucial for strengthening democracy in the state.
Oredipe stated this while featuring on Family FM’s flagship political programme, Political Forum, where he spoke extensively on the topic: “Opposition and the 2027 Election.”
He emphasized that credible governance can only flourish when political actors focus on ideas, policies and service-driven leadership rather than personal attacks and political bitterness. According to him, Ogun State deserves leaders who will prioritize accountability, transparency and long-term
Family FM’s Segun Omotanbaje, who monitored the programme, reports that Dr. Oredipe used the platform to outline his broad vision for Ogun State, explaining that his aspiration is grounded in years of development expertise, grassroots engagement and public service.
Dr. Oredipe highlighted that, if elected governor, his administration would embark on rural transformation, including better roads, improved access to markets, and social amenities to stimulate growth in underserved communities. He also pledged to expand the state’s agricultural value chain through modern farming systems, agro-processing hubs and partnerships that would create jobs for thousands of youths.
The APC aspirant further promised massive youth empowerment programmes, noting that Ogun State’s young population must be equipped with skills, technology exposure and entrepreneurial support to enable them compete globally. He added that education, innovation and digital literacy would form central pillars of his developmental agenda.
On infrastructure, Oredipe said he is committed to upgrading urban centres, expanding transportation networks and creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. He stressed that economic reforms tailored toward investment, productivity and revenue growth would help reposition Ogun as one of Nigeria’s most viable states.
According to him, his professional background in development work has prepared him for the responsibility of governing a state as dynamic as Ogun, noting that effective leadership requires vision, experience and the willingness to implement policies that uplift the common man.
Dr. Oredipe concluded by urging political actors to maintain peace and civility as the 2027 election season gathers momentum, insisting that democracy grows stronger when leaders embrace dialogue, mutual respect and inclusiveness.
