The Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Bolu Owotomo, has commended the Nigeria Agriculture Cooperative Organization (NACO) for its contributions to agricultural development in the state.
Owotomo gave the commendation on Saturday, April 4, during the commissioning of the Ogun State International Airport in Iperu by the president of republic of Nigeria President bola Ahmed Tinibu. He praised NACO as a dedicated agricultural group playing a vital role in advancing food security across Ogun State.
Speaking further, the commissioner expressed appreciation to the organization for its sustained efforts in supporting farmers and boosting agricultural productivity. He also urged members of NACO to maintain unity and work together in achieving greater success.
He assured farmers in the state that the government would soon convene a meeting involving NACO and leaders of various farmer associations.
According to him, the meeting would provide a platform for discussions on the distribution of tractors, adding that all farmer groups would benefit from the initiative.
In response, the Ogun State Coordinator of NACO, Pastor Olatunji Abogunrin, thanked the commissioner for his commitment to improving agriculture in the state.
He acknowledged the positive impact of government policies on farmers and prayed for continued strength and wisdom for Owotomo to do more for the agricultural sector.
