The Ogun State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (OGSEMSAS), a department under the Ogun State Ministry of Health, and the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) have formalized a collaborative partnership aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities across the state.
This strategic alliance is designed to optimize emergency, safety, and ambulance services, leveraging the 0811 200 0033 contact number for prompt response to emergencies.
This development follows a courtesy visit by the OGSEMSAS management team, led by its Director, Dr. Hassan Adelakun, to TRACE headquarters on Ajebo Road, Abeok, Abeokuta.
The visit was aimed at strengthening and revitalising the working relationship between both agencies, with a focus on promoting the Ogun State Emergency and Ambulance contact 0811 200 0033 for swift response to emergencies.
Dr. Hassan Adelakun, Director of OGSEMSAS, emphasized that the meeting was designed to foster synergy between the organisations, ensuring that the 0811 200 0033 emergency contact is disseminated to all Unit and Sector Commanders, thereby facilitating rapid emergency response across Ogun State.
During the visit, Mr. Elias Omonayajo, the most senior TRACE Commander, underscored the importance of capacity building for TRACE personnel, particularly in first aid and emergency response.
He noted that equipping operatives with modern techniques for handling accident victims would significantly improve outcomes in saving lives and property.
Omonayajo reaffirmed TRACE’s commitment to supporting OGSEMSAS, particularly in the training and retraining of drivers for recertification, as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency.
This partnership is expected to bolster the agencies’ response to emergencies, ensuring a more effective and coordinated approach to emergency management in the state.
Dr. Festus Adetonwa, Deputy Director and Head of Operations at OGSEMSAS, highlighted the need for the Public Relations Officers of TRACE and OGSEMSAS to collaborate on disseminating the 0811 200 0033 emergency and ambulance contact across all Ambulance Points, Sector, and Unit Commands.
Nurse Thompson Florence, Head of Rural Emergency Services and Maternal Transport at OGSEMSAS, expressed appreciation to the TRACE management team, led by Corp Commander Elias Omonayajo, for their dedication to addressing Road Traffic Accidents across Ogun State.
