The Peace Corps of Nigeria, Ogun State Command, under the leadership of Patriot Olufemi Akinyemi has congratulated the new Ogun State Commissioner of Police, B.ED, LLB, MA, psc,FCSS,MNIPR, CP Bode Ojajuni and welcomed him to the state.
In a statement signed by the State Commandant, Patriot Olufemi Akinyemi, the Peace Corps described Ojajuni as a highly experienced officer whose leadership will help improve security in the state. The group said his appointment comes at an important time when all security agencies need to work together to keep Ogun State safe.
The Peace Corps also said it is ready to support the new Commissioner, especially in intelligence gathering, preventing crime, and community security activities. They stressed that teamwork between security agencies and community members is important in tackling new security challenges.
According to the statement, strengthening neighborhood watch groups and encouraging information sharing will help the Police under Ojajuni’s leadership achieve better results.
“We believe that by working together, Ogun State will become safer for everyone,” the statement said.
The Peace Corps also urged the public to support the new Commissioner and share useful information that can help prevent crime.
The organization assured CP Ojajuni of its full cooperation, saying only collective effort can bring lasting peace and security to Ogun State.
