Troops of the Nigerian Army have killed Abou Ameer, a top ISWAP commander, during a failed attempt by the terrorist group to infiltrate a military formation in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
Ameer, who was recently appointed as the Ameer (Qaid) of Pulka, led the insurgents in the operation, which was aimed at disrupting the peace and stability of the region.
