As party of efforts in making sports encouraging, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Youth Development, Hon. Babatunde Delu has donated Nigeria National League Approved Soccer Balls to Gateway FC.
Honorable Delu made the donation on Wednesday at MKO, Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
According to him, this gesture will further encourage the team and prepare them ahead of their remaining league matches for this season.
He also said that the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun is not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring sports is continually used as a tool to empower the Youths of the state in accordance with the ISEYA mantra.
Dapo Abiodun’s aide, Delu said “The donation is to encourage the team to keep playing their best and to assure them that soccer and sports loving Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the entire people of Ogun State are behind them as they play to stay up in the league”
He therefore urged the team to make the State proud by staying up the league.
Meanwhile, the Gateway FC captain, Christian Samuel appreciated Hon. Tunde Delu for the donation, commending him for his great contributions to the growth of sports and youth development in the State.
He described him as a performing SSA who has made a lot of achievements not long he was made the SSA on youth development to the Governor.
Samuel therefore promised the Governor and the entire people of Ogun State of the team’s determination to make them proud by staying up in the league.
