The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has successfully decorated 541 newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) in a grand ceremony held at the Command Headquarters, Area Commands, Divisions, and other formations across the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, PhD, presided over the seamless decoration exercise, recognizing the officers’ outstanding performance, discipline, and dedication to duty. “This promotion is a testament to your hard work and commitment to the Nigeria Police Force,” CP Ogunlowo said.
The promotion underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to merit and institutional integrity, strengthening the Command’s leadership structure and enhancing operational capacity. It also symbolizes recognition of hard work alongside a renewed call to higher responsibility and service.
CP Ogunlowo expressed appreciation to the families of the promoted officers for their support and sacrifices, charging the newly elevated ASPs to uphold higher standards of discipline, professionalism, and accountability. “Your new role demands even greater dedication and service to the people of Ogun State,” he said.
The Commissioner urged the promoted officers to intensify intelligence-led policing to maintain the safety and security of Ogun State, emphasizing the importance of their role in serving the community. “Your efforts will contribute significantly to the overall peace and stability of the state,” he added.
