The Ogun State Police Command has successfully recovered a stolen silver-coloured Toyota RAV4 Jeep and handed it over to its rightful owner. The vehicle was recovered on January 17, 2026, at the Somorin Area of Obantoko by the Obantoko Division Surveillance Team during a routine patrol.
According to reports, the vehicle was suspected to have been stolen and abandoned, and the police had been working to identify the owner. After verification of relevant documents, the owner was confirmed, and the vehicle, along with its keys and documents, was formally handed over.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Obantoko Division, led the operation, and the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, commended the Obantoko Division Surveillance Team for their professionalism and swift action.

The recovered vehicle is a testament to the police’s dedication to serving and protecting the community.
